BlackRock Announces Management Fee Waiver for Certain Closed-End Funds
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The BlackRock closed-end funds (each a “Fund,” and collectively the “Funds”) listed below announced today the implementation of voluntary management fee waivers, effective May 1, 2024. In addition, BlackRock will be waiving an additional one-time $2 million in management/advisory fees pro-rata across the Funds. “We believe this fee waiver is a meaningful enhancement to these Funds and will increase tax-exempt income to shareholders, consistent with their investment objective. We will continue to evaluate options for improving our closed-end funds for the benefit of all shareholders, as we work to protect and advance their best interests,” said R. MUC: When Discounts Aren't Enough (Rating Downgrade)
The BlackRock MuniHoldings California Quality Fund is evaluated as an investment option at its current market price. The fund offers broad-muni exposure specific to California, making it a good option for residents of the state under the right circumstances. The income story is quite negative in the short term, which makes me cautious on new positions right now.

CORRECTING and REPLACING BlackRock Closed-End Fund Share Repurchase Program Update
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Please replace the release dated April 11, 2023, with the following corrected version due to changes in the table, "Summary of share repurchase activity since Repurchase Program inception as of March 31, 2023". The updated release reads: BLACKROCK CLOSED-END FUND SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAM UPDATE BlackRock Advisors, LLC (“BlackRock”) released today share repurchase activity for certain BlackRock-advised closed-end funds (the “Funds”) during the quarter ended March 31, 2023. The Funds have authorized open market share repurchase programs (the “Repurchase Programs”) pursuant to which each Fund may repurchase, through November 30, 2023, up to 5% of its outstanding common shares in open market transactions. The Repurchase Programs seek to enhance shareholder value by purchasing Fund shares trading at a discount from their net asset value (“NAV”) per share, which could result in incremental accretion to a Fund’s NAV. BlackRock Closed-End Fund Share Repurchase Program Update
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BlackRock Advisors, LLC (“BlackRock”) released today share repurchase activity for certain BlackRock-advised closed-end funds (the “Funds”) during the quarter ended December 31, 2022. Below is a summary of share repurchase activity over this past quarter and since the inception of each Fund’s Repurchase Program: Summary of share repurchase activity during the most recent calendar quarter ended December 31, 2022: Fund Name Ticker Number of Shares Repurchased Total Amount of Shares Repurchased Total Amount of NAV Accretion Average Discount on Days Repurchased BlackRock Energy and Resources Trust BGR 83,354 $1,023,385 $147,098 -12.8% BlackRock Enhanced Global Dividend Trust BOE 589,486 $5,523,056 $779,414 -12.5% BlackRock Enhanced International Dividend Trust BGY 717,531 $3,402,256 $452,631 -11.9% BlackRock Health Sciences Trust II BMEZ 1,962,259 $30,331,774 $6,009,305 -16.7% BlackRock Science and Technology Trust II BSTZ 461,288 $7,290,822 $1,691,138 -19.0% BlackRock Innovation and Growth Trust BIGZ 4,154,800 $29,302,944 $7,733,786 -20.8% BlackRock Capital Allocation Trust BCAT 1,716,301 $24,142,297 $4,794,971 -16.6% BlackRock ESG Capital Allocation Trust ECAT 1,505,905 $20,574,889 $4,475,286 -17.9% BlackRock Resources & Commodities Strategy Trust BCX 550,752 $5,389,354 $809,171 -13.2% BlackRock California Municipal Income Trust BFZ 409,086 $4,396,603 $723,743 -14.1% BlackRock MuniHoldings California Quality Fund, Inc.
